Tastes Low-carb bread mixes have a base of coconut flour, almond flour, psyllium fiber and various seeds and kernels.
Coconut flour consists of 40% fiber and has a fairly neutral taste. Coconut and almond flour are also naturally gluten-free (so the bread mixes are low in gluten but may contain traces of gluten).
A slice of Smaak bread (about 50 g) provides 4.1 g of fiber (advice is 30-40 grams of fiber per day). In comparison: a slice of Zaans bread provides 1.9 g of fiber. In addition, a slice of Smaak bread provides 6 g of protein.
A slice of bread with avocado or hummus is a perfect snack or lunch for athletes or when you want/need to eat more protein.
Add yourself: 6 eggs, 200ml almond drink unsweetened, 1 tbsp tartar baking powder, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar.
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Mix the ingredients with a whisk, put the dough in a greased bread tin (approx. 25x10cm) and bake for 40-45 minutes. Remove the bread from the baking tin and let it cool.
