Like gelatin, agar agar is a gelling agent. It is a plantbased product made from algae. It is tasteless and odorless and suitable in all kinds of recipes. Use it, for example, in a (vegan) cheesecake, pudding or in sauces. Conveniently packed in 5 sachets of 7 grams.
Storage: cool, dry, dark and closed.
Preparation: 1 packet of Agar Agar = 6 gelatine sheets.
Mix the Agar-Agar with 700-800 ml cold water and leave to steep for 1 to 2 minutes. Then bring to the boil, for 2 minutes, while stirring. Allow to cool down somewhat before working it into the recipe. Agar-Agar will turn into jelly at approximately 40°C and will fully set once cold.
