Smaakt | Chili sin carne
The Mexican classic as you've probably known it all your life, but delicious without meat. Serve the chili sin carne with nachos, enough ripe avocado for everyone, fresh coriander for the enthusiasts and life is a fiesta.
Ingredients for about 4 people:
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper
- 2 cans Smaakt Tomato Pieces
- 2 jars Smaakt Bean-lentil mix, rinsed, drained
- 1 tsp smoked paprika powder
- ½ tsp ground cumin seeds
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 2 ripe avocados, thinly sliced
- 1 bag of vegan nacho chips
- Fresh coriander, for garnish(optional)
Preparation method Chili sin carne
1. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion with the garlic. Add a pinch of salt and a twist of pepper, then add the tomatoes and beans to the pan. Add the paprika, ground cumin seeds and maple syrup and let it simmer very gently for ten minutes. Taste and add additional seasoning if necessary.
2. Serve with avocado, nachos and fresh coriander for the lovers
